Should Comprehensive Sex Education be Mandatory?
CSE will be difficult to implement.
Mandatory CSE needs a defined curriculum to be implemented, that may create tensions between regional and national entities on who has the legitimacy to decide on that curriculum.
The extra teaching time, resources, and teachers needed to teach a CSE class are all very expensive.
Limitations regarding resources and teaching time means that CSE is unlikely to be able to provide comprehensive coverage of the very wide range of topics that it would like to.
National curriculums are often implemented for other subjects taught at school, so it does not necessarily follow that CSE would be substantially different or more difficult.
Difficulty in implementing something that can bring positive outcomes should not be a reason not to.
