Cultural appropriation is wrong
Cultural appropriation reduces stereotyping. When a characteristic of the minority culture is appropriated in the main culture, it loses its potential to identify a group.
When cultural appropriation is committed by an easily identifiable secondary group, it can create a new stereotype that may then cause harm to the original group. Take for example, dreadlocks as a protective hairstyle for one group, and as an expression of "hippie culture" to another group.
