Does Hell Exist?
Hell is not a present reality but a future punishment so in the present, it does not exist.
The future cannot exist in the present moment. Therefore, Hell, a place we supposedly go if we die as sinners in the future, cannot exist.
Hell as a punishment does not exist.
Even if this assertion about the nature of Hell is granted, this only proves that Hell does not exist yet. This establishes little ground in a debate about whether or not Hell exists at all.
This presupposes a universal understanding and meaning of that which neither humans or the Bible articulate with a modicum certainty.
Hell is a present reality for those that are there currently. The Bible mentions the story of the
rich man and Lazarus
and the rich man calls out from Hell so that his family could be saved.
It may not exist in our finite understanding, but to an omnipotent, omnipresent, omnipowerful being like the God of the Bible, it can be a present reality.
