Would Abolishing Privacy Be Beneficial?
In the present day we already live in a
world where discipline is
"integrated through seduction rather than policing"
and individuals are made to conform without even being aware of the underlying structures of control.
We feel that sharing personal information and opinions with our friends through the social networks is positive, so that we never think about the negative effects.

" argument is very powerful in discouraging people from thinking about negative effects of the post-Panopticon.
This is more an argument to bring back some privacy protections we have lost in order to remedy that situation, than to say in for a penny in for a pound.
