Costs of education, learning a new skill or starting a business might cost much more than a high minimum wage. Furthermore, it is not a guarantee that high minimum wage will provide people with more time. As such, the argument cannot be used to suggest that people will have more free time to pursue other goals with high minimum wage.
High minimum wages benefit more unskilled workers since more skilled workers would naturally earn more. As such, it will create resentment of higher skilled workers towards lower skilled.
