Cultural appropriation is wrong
It discredits the achievements and identities of minorities.
Cultural appropriation robs the majority communities of aspects of their identity since cultural events replace each other in importance.
of this is the infancy of rock-and-roll, where white musicians stole rhythm and blues music, copied it, and made millions of dollars while the black artists that invented the music went without the same recognition for years.
If something is white-washed or "westernized", for example, it is often easier to popularise, and those who popularise it get the credit, rather that the creators.
Cultural appropriation often/typically means taking an identity of someone and creating a mock image of it. If such person can't defend themselves - being marginalized - it very concretely makes it harder for them to develop as legitimate human members of society.
Cultural appropriation is wrong if credit for the source of that which is appropriated is not given to the appropriated culture; thereby, avoiding claims of plagiarism, lack of creativity & unoriginality.
When traditions or cultural significance has been degraded in a way that benefits others at the expense of the out group's culture, a true unjust act has been committed.
Individuals should not derive disproportionate parts of their identity from their cultural inheritance. This has been a major source of grief being a basis for (ultra)nationalist and grassroots movements across the world (

With the invention of the internet, people outside of those cultures can easily identify the source of "appropriated" items, and people from inside those cultures can identify them as their own.
To copy doesn't mean to destroy original and history.
Cultural appropriation is not "robbing" or "stealing" since culture is not property.
All past achievements are unchanged by future events, thus people maintain their achievements.
