Make Democracy Great Again: Liquid Democracy
Liquid Democracy would require a new electronic voting system which could be complex, abusable, and unfair.
Liquid Democracy as proposed would include voting from home. Home votes are vulnerable to coercion.
Implementation and audit of the voting system would be more complex and insecure than the traditional system.
If historic votes are recorded, the government could have an abusable dataset on every citizens personal opinions.
Voters may struggle to understand and use the system, which could reduce participation or exclude parts of society.
Existing systems such as Democracy Earth or the ones on

will make this possible. It is precisely because those systems exist that a Liquid Democracy is possible today.
For those who can't or won't vote online or via an app, there would be physical polling stations where they can cast their votes as usual.
Electronic Voting has been shown to work.
