Should straight actors play gay roles?
People should not be denied work based on their sexuality.
It is discriminatory to ask actors that apply for a role to indicate their sexuality.
If straight actors were prevented from playing gay roles, then it would be logical to prevent gay actors from playing straight roles, which severely limits their career.
The heart of being an actor is to play roles that they're not living.
That would be discrimination based on sexual orientation and it would be like saying gay people like Jim Parsons (guy who played Sheldon Cooper in Big bang theory) shouldn't be allowed to play straight roles. Plus people should be judged on merits and not which way they swing.
