Should Human Life Be Valued Above Animal Life?

Humans should be valued over animals, as we are the only ones capable of caring for Earth and resolving the damage we've done.

  • Humans do not have any moral obligations to other animals.

  • Humanity's influence over the larger biosphere far exceeds that of all other animals.

  • The human race cannot progress if time is wasted debating if other species should be valued above our own.

  • Humans are intelligent enough to figure out how to help protect animals. For example we might find a way to live on other planets or places in the universe to allow animals to live on earth peacefully.

  • Just because we have the capability to do something, does not mean there is a moral imperative to do so.

  • Our own importance does not affect how the rest of the world is affected by our actions.
