Humans cause more harm than good to the environment and so animals should be preserved in favor of humans.

  • The health of the environment is only relevant insofar as it benefits the survival of the human species.

  • Animals and plants constantly destroy environments. Look at oak wilt, mosquitos with malaria. We are not the only ones destroying the environment.

  • Preserving animals in favour of humans would realistically cause the human race to die out

  • Humans are the only species capable of making preserving efforts of protect other species, thus the human species value gets compounded by all the species that can be protected by them.

  • Prevalent religions state that humans are directed to subdue and have dominion over the earth, including animals.
