Should we Have a 100% Inheritance Tax?
There should be a 100% inheritance tax on all inherited wealth above 1 million Euros.
It is not fair, that some who were lucky to be born into rich families, start their lives with a tremendous amounts of assets, while others have none.
Everyone should only get what they achieved themselves.
This will reduce the social chasm between the poor and rich.
This gives an advantage to wealthy families with many children.
People who become wealthy tend to invest and spend while people who inherit wealth tend to hoard it.
This would encourage entrepreneurship and wealth creation while minimizing generations of wealthy families who did not earn their money.
This could probably heavily incentivize private consumption, which is generally considered a good thing.
This will lead to capital leaving the country.
This restricts basic property rights.
Many extremely talented people will stop working after they have reached a certain amount of money, as they cannot pass it on to their children.
€1 million is not enough to ensure a good quality of life for inheritors.

There will always be loopholes to evade this kind of taxation. The business model of a lot of countries depends on providing such loopholes.
Taxation is theft
It's difficult to measure wealth.
Family-run companies and heirlooms will not be able to be passed on to the next generation.
