We should not worship a God that sends people to hell.
According to many
, God promotes forgiveness. To condemns souls to the eternal punishment of Hell is hypocritical.
Hell is a cruel punishment. No earthly crime is proportionate to the punishment of hell. A god which created hell is cruel and evil.
If admission to hell is based on belief in or worship of God, worship could separate someone from their non-believing loved ones.
God could have made humans "perfect," so that not a single individual would ever go to hell. The fact that God has not done so - and the fact God created hell - suggest that God likes to see human suffer.
Our minds are not equipped to last for an eternity, and both fates would be a punishment.
Worshipping God will get one into heaven, which is better than going to hell.
It is the individuals who commit sins that are responsible for themselves going to hell, not God.
If a powerful god created hell, we are unable to oppose it, or God.
Accepting the possibility of a punishment in the afterlife will motivate good behavior.
