NFL Player Protests: Should NFL Players Stand or Kneel for the National Anthem?
The goals of the protest are wrong.
They are trying to speak out against apparent racism and inequality, but by protesting this way, they protest everything the US stands for.
Statistics do not support claims of systemic racism that is the basis for the kneeling.
Even if the goals of the protest are "wrong," it is still allowed by free speech. Therefore, kneeling is fine.
The protest was hijacked by making believe it was about the National Anthem, soldiers, and patriotism, instead of the abuse of an entire race of people.
The goal of the protest is controversial; however, the protest itself is peaceful, to the point, and not harming anyone.
A protest, by definition, is not goal oriented. It is simply a display of disapproval over a certain object/subject.
Racial inequity in America is a significant social ill that requires change, and any form of non-violent protest of that inequity, even one that makes others uncomfortable, should be supported.
