The possibility that a statement - in this case an advert that conveys a social message - will not be met with a favourable response by a particular group of people is not a good reason not to convey that message. Some messages need to be communicated, not because the person putting the message out there wants people to "respond positively" to the message, but because people need to hear it in order to conscientise them in particular, or society in general.
