The UN organisation is undemocratic.
The UN is made of nation-states who will ultimately pursue their own agenda. So little collective good is to be expected.
The UN Security Council gives the unfair power of Veto to it's 5 permanent members: China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States (commonly called the P5)
Observer states don't have Security Council voting rights.
Only about 41% of the U.N. member states are free democracies. Each country gets an equal vote in the General Assembly, so any decision can be considered largely undemocratic. -
