Cultural appropriation is wrong
There is no guarantee that the culture will be adopted in it's original, unaltered state. One culture getting a distorted view of another could do more harm than good.
Any cultural interaction is always affecting both sides. It's the inevitable state of things. But trying to isolate one culture from other would basically guarantee to create a distorted views of said culture.
Culture is not a linear, stable entity. As such, to treat it as it is unchanging detracts from the value of future contributions by the culture.
Almost no activity we engage in has a guaranteed outcome, but that should not prevent us from engaging in them.
