Should we Have a 100% Inheritance Tax?
There will always be loopholes to evade this kind of taxation. The business model of a lot of countries depends on providing such loopholes.
This idea would do wonders for precious metal prices as rich people would convert their financial assets into physical ones that can literally be hidden.
You can construct near perfect such systems, it has just not yet been done. The taxation by nationality does a good job at that.
This will encourage capital flight where assets will be moved overseas or into corporate trusts. This reduces the activity of this money in the economies of the countries imposing these laws, reducing job creation and growth.
There has been a lot of progress on this, e.g. in Switzerland.
If only 100% perfect solutions are considered, no solution will ever be realized
