Theresa May's focus on Brexit negotiations has resulted in other important public concerns

Because of its extreme importance, any other Prime Minister in May's position would have diverted their attention towards Brexit in the same manner she did. Likewise, her successor is
to shift focus away from Brexit were she to resign.
