General AI should have fundamental rights
We should be more worried about how AI can become an existential threat to humanity, before any ethical concerns.
AI could use our empathy against us by outsmarting us in the field of law. Temporarily preventing it's termination and buying precious time to develop world-dominating hacks. Any AI should be able to be terminated at even the slightest hint of existential threat.
One mind, whose values may be opposed to human values, is worth vastly less than the billions of human minds likely to be destroyed if unaligned AI take over.
By denying AGI basic rights, we logically place ourselves as an existential threat to them.
