Are democracies more peaceful than other political systems?
Well established democracies such as the United States fought in serveral wars in the last years.
The security dilemma remains where Democracies interact with autoritharian states.
Yet none of these wars was waged against another democracy. The example of the US therefore does not undermine the idea that democracies interact with each other purely peaceful.
Democracies must adopt the action patterns of autocracies in order to stand up to them.
